Dear All,
next week I will be going away to kids camp (a.k.a. please leave your sanity at the door) for four days, from Tuesday to Friday.
I didn't want the blog getting all dusty and musty while I was away, so I've asked some people to step in and be guest bloggers.
At first I was going to ask some already-established bloggers to do it, and then I thought, well, wouldn't it be fun if people who didn't usually blog did it? So I made a list of people who I know read my blog but don't have one of their own (yet) and alternately pleaded, cajoled and bullied, heheheh.
So during those four days you'll be seeing a variety of very different posts, courtesy of some really cool people...
- MaltaDad is, well, my Dad :-) He's a whiz at anything to do with computers - he can build them from scratch, fix whatever ails them, program them in plenty of languages... and he's the person who keeps me connected to the Net (thanks, Dad!)
- MammaMia is my Mum - she's really cool - if you knew her, you'd love her too! For me, one of the best things about going abroad is getting emails from her so I'm looking forward to her posts :-)
- If you've been reading this blog for any length of time, then you'll have heard me mention Little Sis... she's one of the funniest and most caring people I know. *hug*
- Cory is a computer engineer in the USA, and my family has known him for years. The poor bloke has even had to put up with me bleeding all over the supper (and he never lets me forget it).
- Michael is my long-suffering boyfriend (hi honey!) and he is doing this to humour me because he loves me :-D (well I haven't exactly asked him yet, but I'm pretty sure he'll agree...)
- Zemploid is a lawyer, but don't hold that against him ;-) He acts (both in court and on stage) and I think he's funny - he is a blog cynic but agreed to do this anyway :-)
- Reesa is a great actress, writes cool emails, and is crazy about cats... you'll see, muahahahaha...
- Vixen is one of my very good friends even though we don't see each other so often (imma mbagħad inpattu!) - she has given me lots of Piglet stuff, and that's a sure sign of greatness!!!
The guest bloggers are a very diverse and talented bunch, and I'm actually looking forward to coming back from camp so I can see what they'll have written! I hope you enjoy their writing, this is going to be... interesting.
I'll just make a little disclaimer at this point; I have placed NO restrictions on the guest bloggers except to ask that (1) they keep it clean, and (2) absolutely no food on the sofa because it's brand-new. So you may be hearing opinions and philosophies that I might not agree with ;-) but that's ok with me.
Roll on Tuesday!

Well Done for this great idea! Looking forward for posts from your 'guest bloggers' even though we'll miss you:)
Enjoy the Kids Camp and let us know how it went afterwards :)
Take Care

I'm looking forward to it too! I love reading your blog but this is an unusual surprise since the people you chose are mostly those you talk about in your usual posts ;)
Oh and enjoy kids camp, I'm sure you'll have much to blog about when you come back ;)

I look forward to reading posts from your family and friends but I'll miss you! Enjoy the camp, you could always duct-tape the annoying ones *g*

She really did a number on all of us to convince us to do this for her. What do you think all ... do you think we should make her regret it? Should all of her darkest secrets come out? Should we embarrass her to no end?
I have not decided what my topics will be about. So I am asking for all of your advice. Should we make Maltagirl regret her decision to put us novices in charge of her blog? Should she have asked the ones closest to her (and incidently know all of her secrets ;)) into her blog? Let me know!

Enjoy the kids camp! Can I send my brat over also? Need a couple of days break from him..... :-)) Enjoy it all if you can....I will sponsor you in duct tape fil-kaz...tee hee

il-vjaġġ it-tajjeb!
re lena and cory's question - hrm. Somehow it doesn't seem like she would have put you ("intom"- stupid english) in charge if she thought she would regret it. So my vote would be not to do that.. I think just hearing from y'all would be interesting in itself.
Just my Lm 0.02

arg! ara, if it all goes well and i don't 'break' anything, maybe a nice big brownie will be in order? heh!

Do you think we should make her regret it? Should all of her darkest secrets come out? Should we embarrass her to no end?
I like your thinking. (Tell me she won't be reading this, please do.)
Lol, no but seriously. I think it's a great idea (i.e. that of inviting "guest bloggers", not embarrassing our blogging mechanical engineer-to-be).
Blogging rents? Now that's cool!

Thanks to Krystle, Lena, Athena, Faħmu and Ħsejjes - I'm sure I'll have a great time (camp is one of my absolute favourite events), but pity the children because since I won't be distracted with studying this year, they will have my full attention... muahahahaha!
And yes please, Ħsejjes, do send some duct tape, green for preference so that the kids will blend in with the trees (to minimize our environmental footprint and conserve local ecology etc etc etc) ;-) [and sorry, registration closed last wednesday, but there's always next time, heheheh]
Cory - ack! I knew I was forgetting something! I suppose it's too late to get you to sign a non-disclosure agreement... shucks...
And Reesa, ukoll, it's not enough that I turn you loose with my nice shiny blog, but that you want compensation as well??? UKOLL!!! :-P
*shoos Kenneth away* Don't go giving them ideas!!! Although, hmmm, blogging rent means that Reesa should be giving ME brownies! Now that I like!

Actually I used "rents" as in parents, since they will be blogging.
But I like the idea of "renting blogs"... imagine a popular blog and you pay a fee to have your article published on it so get exposure (it's against the scope of blogging, but people will do anything for money.) I see a business plan on the way... Better rush off to patent the idea before somebody else does!

Aaaaaaaaaah now I get it about the "rents"... I'm a bit behind in my slang, lol. I hope I get commission from your big blogging business, hey! ;-)

Zemploid and Reesa? The names sound familiar... Hmmm I wonder whether I know these two :)

Now this is something to look forward to!
Excellent...bring it on.
